every creator and destroyer of civilization,

every king and peasant,

every young couple in love,

every mother and father,

hopeful child,

inventor and explorer,

every teacher of morals,

every corrupt politician,

every “superstar,”

every “supreme leader,”

every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

I agree wholeheartedly with Carl Sagan’s insightful observations, and admire your sincere endorsement of them in terms of your commitment to permaculture…..but my heart and soul, especially my soul, responds with joy at the sheer beauty of nature, as portrayed in your picture of the alo vera plant.

  4. Well said – all you can do is make your own garden of eden – hopefully inspire someone else to do the same – to green up and love up and pretty up the world. Tending our own patch here and there. Creating a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the world. Your place is an inspiration.

    I believe that more and more scientists are awakening to the realisation that Gaia is not mechanical, as science itself holds true, but a living entity governed by a connected consciousness.
    This land has proved that to me.

    And I love the loo that has been transformed into a floral throne 🙂
    Also those bees!!!!! in the top image, thank goodness their numbers do not seem to have declined as much in your little paradise as they have everywhere else.
    I feel inspired to tend my little (tiny but I’m sure it still counts) patch of garden Beltaine cottage style this year.
