Masses of kindling here that will be stored to dry in the barn.

The land is slowly returning to fertility as the trees grow and shed leaves each Autumn and the bird-life increases, along with insects and bees.

There’s something quite delicious about sitting down with a cup of tea and putting one’s feet up…in this case on the coffee table.

I don’t have a television so keep an abundance of books around me…

The candle-making continues…tidying up to do, but not before a dozen or so big candles are made…

    • I use the paraffin wax pellets and make the standard mix, but I also use wax chunks from leftovers. Using a selection of 3 different size wicks and priming them as standard and relating to the size of the candle I am pouring. I am using just 2 moulds at the moment. It’s quite straightforward really! Basic candle-making skills can be learned in a day workshop and are not too complex really.
