The weather has been mild and very damp, ideal for mushroom growing. 
There are lots of these growing in the tunnel.
Though it’s not actually mushrooms I want to talk about today.
You see there are things on my mind that are troubling me…
Biting the Hand that feeds YOU!
For if we are to live in the world as we know it, then we have to make changes…
Mother Nature gives, and we take. Most of the time we give nothing back…nothing!
For the past hundred or so years we have demanded and taken more and more!
The killing fields of World War One left mountainous mounds of dead
and gave us our agriculture of today,
…chemicals!
We are what we eat.
Chemicals
From that day to this we have almost drowned Gaia in chemicals!
Chemicals to force food from the ground.
Chemicals to kill Gaia’s workforce; bees, insects and bacteria.
Chemicals poured in relentless fashion into her rivers and oceans to make our clothes whiter, cleaner and our homes chemical waste grounds.
Where babies are reared in exclusion zones that make them weak and sometimes ill…for the good bacteria that aids children in developing strong immune systems, is no longer allowed!
When we become ill, we then require stronger and more aggressive pharmaceuticals.
And so we are trapped within a complex ecocidal system of living that is doomed!
A Better Way
Yes, there is a better way!
I am exploring aspects of it in whatever small way possible.
But, overall, the solution is simple…
Mostly, the solutions require little more than common sense, some small effort and a willingness to keep an open mind and ask questions!
For therein lies solutions…millions of them! Each one suitable for our immediate environment.
Solutions that empower us and make us integrated, part of the healing, not part of the illness!

My front yard is a growing garden of ‘weeds’ and food. All mixed together. The Lambs Quarter has been really good this year and still producing new growth to eat in late fall. I grow for bees and butterfly’s and what a great view it is. I sent letters to my neighbors with pamlets on the effect of loosing the bees and butterfly’s. That seemed to help yet I know I am the talk of the neighborhood. Beds in the back yard have never been a problem. Yet I will not give up the front. Blessings on those who continue no matter what.
Oscar Wilde would approve…”There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.” He said it all! Keep growing!
There is a movement afoot and I hear about it more everyday that we are taking our world back from the chemists. I angered a new neighbor when I refused his herbicide to kill my weeds. We are not supposed to have weeds in our neighborhood. I told him no thank you, I would pull them by hand or use vinegar to spray them. He hasn’t spoken since. I got the information from those who are trying to save the bees as we must. Without them, we starve. So we are planting to feed the bees, butterflies, birds and nature so they will feed us. I know so many are still unconscious, but the rest are waking them. You do your part one post at a time. Thank you.
I listen to Mother Earth. She is deep within us. All is connected. Keep listening and doing what you know to be right, for life is too short to listen to fools.

I find this chilling because it’s so true.What’s more awful is it was true when you first wrote it in 2012,but I think things are worse now in 2015.
I hope that the inspiration of people like you will trigger a change,but I fear for the future !
Mother Earth will continue. However, She wants to continue with us as part of the consciousness…it is up to us. I am optimistic that enough people will hear the call.
