I used to think there was little hope for the lovely Earth we live on…that people did not care and governments would take us all to Hell…on Earth!
That was in the past.
For several years, since the beginning of this blog, I have had the opportunity to meet thousands of people on-line.
Hundreds have made their way here to Bealtaine Cottage to meet in person, share some food and drink and, converse.
If these walls could talk, there would be an endless stream of uplifting words and energy, that would be capable of drowning out the drivel of political leaders, all of whom have let us down and worked furiously to steer our home, Earth, towards damnation!
The movement to save and protect our environment is growing with such intensity, that many governments are rushing to instigate laws to try to stop us.
The EU Seed Law, as I shall call it, is just one example…and oh, how the people have risen against it, and, the ecocidal maniacs behind it!
This is the year to save seed, share seed, nurture seed, plant seed, scatter seed, put seed inside Christmas and Birthday cards…for it is the great gift of the Divine and cannot be taken from us through unjust laws, or greedy corporations!
The EU will continue on their Agenda 21 to control Nature.
Monsanto continues to hang around the back door, pimping it’s obscene ware to those who use the back door in Brussels.
The back door is the place for them, for they know the might of the people and now they also know our resolute determination to ensure they shall not pass!

I completely agree with you our seeds, our Heritage seeds, our children’s future seeds for their families, it is disgraceful that the EU are going ahead with this, how dare they. I for one am a complete organic gardener and I do not want to grow polluted seeds or plants for myself or family, or in fact neighbours who often receive the surplus.
I noticed the other day that a family in Sweden I believe only ate the food from supermarkets as they thought organic too expensive. So they did some tests on their urine, and it contained the chemicals from this food, they then did a month on only organic food, and on testing, nothing chemical in their urine, makes one think does it not!
It makes perfect sense, that if crops are sprayed with chemicals then we end up ingesting some of these with the food. We should be very particular!
I do like your blog, very much. I do not like the ethos and activities of people like Monsanto, for reasons I’m sure we share. As more and more research is being done and shared freely by Agroforestry research stations world wide, I am hopeful that Monsanto and ilk go out of business. They have no idea, or are ignoring, what permaculture has achieved over many years. Shame they cannot grant monies unconditionally to the cause.

It is based on the naive understanding of the genome based on the One Gene – one protein hypothesis of 70 years ago, that each gene codes for a single protein. The Human Genome project completed in 2002 showed that this hypothesis is wrong.

Well said Collette. I will not comply. I have never saved seeds before, but I am determined to this year. The Transition group are going to be running a seed saving workshop, which I am looking forward to.
I love your posts and the pictures of your garden are so inspirational. I visited the West coast of Ireland last summer, staying at Rosses point. I wish I had found your blog before then, because I would love to see your garden.

I will post a selection to you for your paradise at bealtaine and love your idea of popping into greetings cards sending this message out to as many people as possible. I will never comply with such an atrocity. seed belongs to the beautiful earth it is not a commodity to be patented.

Hi Colette — You should do a seedsaving class at Bealtaine Cottage or make one of your great videos on seedsaving. I think if people could see how easy it is (it just takes a bit of observation and a paper bag really), then more people would do it. Your passion for this is appreciated. jools
