  1. Sorry isn”t enough, and it is sent from a heart who knows the loss of animal friends.

  2. I am so sorry for the loss of your little ones. It is a constant worry that a fox will find them. My daughter had several groups of chickens and lost them all. She gave up keeping them in the end because it is so heart breaking. This year she had the fox sunbathing with it’s cubs in the garden where her chickens used to be. It is very difficult once the fox knows they are there, as they are relentless in their quest. A friend of mine witnessed a fox jumping up and down on top of her chicken house, trying to freak them into running out.

  3. I was left speechless by the beauty of your photographs…thinking about how you have created a little piece of heaven within the world discontent…I am sooo sorry that the discontent has reached within the confines of your beautiful little oasis. My thoughts are with you my friend.

  4. Oh no! I am SO sorry to hear about your poor girls! I know Mr. Fox has to eat but it is still heartbreaking. And the girl that is left must be traumatized. Not to mention you, coming home to find them missing. I have heard you can get dogs who will guard hens, the ones who also guard sheep. I am not sure of the details. Thinking of you. Patti

  5. Lovely pictures! I am in awe of the amount of work you put in there! I was about to comment on how happy the chooks looked when I read of your tragedy. Really really sorry to hear that.

  6. I am so sorry for your sweet, pretty girls and for your sadness. We are thinking of you and your magical space with our hearts.
