Planet Earth is a closed system. 
Most politicians and all governments simply do not understand that fact! 
There cannot be infinite economic growth! 
The world has limited resources, yet humankind is governed by an extractive mentality, encouraged by those in power to continue extracting the Earth’s resources, regardless of the cost to the next generation…never mind future generations!
The problem is so big, that it requires one to change everything about the way one thinks, lives and interacts with the world. 
The problem with our current thinking and those who lead us further into the mire, is that denial is the natural response.
Those young enough now will look back on this era when food and energy prices soared, as the world population surged. 
The time when tornadoes ploughed through cities, killing and devastating people and homes and sometimes whole communities. 
A time when floods swept away life and homesteads, as droughts wrecked harvests, while governments aided and abetted the corporations that sought to control our food. 
A time when populations were displaced by continuous disasters that those in government did little to avert or help communities recover from! 
Those alive will ask, “what were they thinking?”

Beautifully written, Colette. And my goodness the roses are lovely! I am sad to hear you lost all but one of your chickens 🙁 Another lady whose blog I read had something similar happen.
Years ago when I lived in Morocco a neighbour had guard geese in his orchards (they provided good fertiliser for the trees too). I am wondering whether a gaggle of geese (is that the right term?) could stand up to Mr.Fox? I can remember those Moroccan guard geese being pretty fierce.

I love geese and you are right, they make excellent guards. However, I have just returned from re-homing my one little lonely hen in a lovely garden setting with a chicken-friendly, fox-hating little dog as a friend. I stayed with her for an hour or so and she is finally recovering her personality. She had become very quiet! She is now called “Gloria”…after Gloris Gaynor and her famous song, “I will survive!” Happy days ahead!

Colette, Look into pyrolyzing your human solid waste. It turns solid waste into biochar carbon and sterilizes it. Properly designed, it could provide water heating or even space heating energy as a byproduct. Even so, I would only use human sourced biochar for tree soil amendment and not directly for food / garden soil use. Better to be cautious than suffer from contamination of human pathogens or parasites. – Scott

As you know from reading the blog, I have planted over 900 trees and need a regular supply of manure for the trees I plant.
Human manure, composted over a 2 year period, is absolutely ideal for that.
We really need to get informed on this issue.

So much is wrong, but the “great Disruption” and the “birth of a New World” sounds too much like the New World Order to me. Greenpeace, as far as I know, refuse to discuss the chemtrail problem, because of “lack of resources”. I think chemtrails are the biggest threats to our environment, and it’s not “manmade” it’s “secret establishment” made.
If Greenpeace would discuss that openly, I might trust them more.

Chemtrails are a very real cause for concern and I have written about them previously and yes, no-one appears to be addressing the concern! However, the way in which our extractive mentality is causing such massive, obvious problems, must also be addressed! We do not even give our human waste back to the Earth…a problem which I am presently addressing through the construction of a compost toilet. A new mindset is needed and needs to be cultivated and nurtured!
