The coming times; a glimpse of what’s to come.
These times are infused with uncertainty and fear.
Many people deal with this by switching off.
The Tipping Point has arrived.
Most of us know this to be a truth.
We know it deep in our hearts.
There is a panic among those who hold power over us.
This is manifested in the shifting sands of policy as things appear to fall apart.
Our governments have sown the seeds of chaos…in what they have done and what they have failed to do.
The most insidious, Machiavellian, duplicitous human beings are rampaging and corralling us all into dark times.

For several years, as I have written this blog, and photographed the exquisite and the beautiful that is Mother Earth, I have attempted to inspire and encourage a return to Mother Earth.
For those who dwell close to her, quickly find the connection to life and spirit they have searched for, and in the finding is birthed a renewed sense of humanity, compassion, goodness and joy.
These are the values we have, as humans, innate within us.
The intuitive, intrinsic, spontaneous gifts of the Divine which make us as one.
Those we have elected as Trustees of Our Planet are conjuring wars, corruption, hatred and despair; thrusting us into the darkest of times.
As the falcon turns, hold on tight to what you know to be the truth.

It makes me so happy to find others with similar desires, a return to Mother Earth. As a nature lover, I am obviously on the “green” movement, trying to do anything I possibly can to return the state of our home to its true “Garden of Eden” like state. However, something I have learned from herbalist Susun Weed is that while so many are concerned for saving the planet, very few are truly concerned for saving the human race. Mother Earth has been around for much longer than we have, surely it is more likely that she can repair her self much easier than we can repair our broken species! Also, since everything in my mind is cyclical and connected…once humans heal themselves it will by default heal our Mother Earth…What is good for us is good for her!
I agree…we are all connected!
We can speak up for the ones lacking their conivtion tor the brief overwhelming moment and especially ones denied a voice as also happens sometimes with other issues. There is a change coming! I think there is a palpable readiness to do away with misogynistic and destructive ideologies. It is passed overdue and sometimes wearing and tiring to stand in the face of the oppressor but as some above said we find strength in each other. Thankyou 🙂
This is the most important issue of our time, for all that is wrong is built on the oppressiveness of the patriarchy; also felt very grievously by many men, for the oppression comes from those wielding the power. The times are changing!
Oh yes i agree and often have to make clear that being anti misogyny is nothing to do with being anti male! But shining a light on destructive ideologies weilded to maintain power
It can be difficult to know which is the best way to turn. We can all do our bit to live in harmony with Mother Earth, but how do we bring others in to the fold? Preaching is not a good idea, (even my own children ignore me on that one) so we are left with leading by example and suggesting alternatives to people if they have a problem we can help with. I know that the best way to get an interest in something is to make it attractive and dare I say fashionable. I am reminded of the discussion of why we are speaking English, or Anglo – Saxon, after all, the Normans tried hard to make us speak French, and it didn’t work. The accepted reason is that we found the Saxons attractive in their speech, clothing, and others ways no doubt. Early graves have been found which had Saxon grave goods, even though the people were native Celts.
Our biggest problem is that we are up against those who seek money and power, and I suspect it will always be that way. We have to be empowered by each other and try hard not to be daunted by the enormity of it all. There have been times when I have shut down from the world because of the verbal attacks I have encountered, but now I just soldier on regardless.
I have been mourning the lack of birds in my garden, especially Blackbirds, as there used to be several mating pairs here. But guess what! I have just seen a female Blackbird taking cherries. It has made my day.
Yes…a great point: to be so that others will want to emulate us; leading by example! This year has seen more visitors to the gardens than ever before, with a couple visiting this morning and another tomorrow after lunch. The blackbirds are busy here feasting on the blackcurrants!

Beautiful post, poem and photos. The future frighteners me at times, my son was born with a rare genetic condition and I worry about his future and what sort of world he will live in, so somedays I bury my head in the sand and hope all will go away, then a small kindness shown, a piece of magic in the day happens, your posts and some of the comments left by others and know that there are caring, thoughtful people out there.

Each one creates a world around them. My world was monoculture, sad and very grey…now it’s the opposite. So many good people, so much love and joy…and as you say it’s there and then we experience it.We co-create with Mother Earth, all life therein and each other…countless opportunities of abundance and joy.

Thank you all for lovely, inspiring comments that make me so aware of the connectedness between us and many, many others. I needed to read what I did. However, I do feel that I should be more confident in advising and perhaps educating others e.g. the summer solstice at standing stones in Cumbria. I joined and thanked two girls for their lovely energy as they were drumming a lovely Earth beat while parents allowed their children to climb all over the sacred stones, shouting and yelling. Some people used a stone for their barbeque and there was litter around. Did I say anything? Mmmm …
It can be difficult to know what to do in ever-changing circumstances, especially where other people are concerned…

I too sometimes feel that, (as the poem says.. “the best lack all conviction”, but I feel at this point it is our time to really holdfast to our core beliefs and values and bravely keep going, holding all that is dear in our hearts

Am very affected by your words. I don’t care for labels but follow a pagan and pantheistic path in a solitary fashion. I am veggie, try hard to be as organic as possible, am about to start my tree planting, revere nature and Mother Earth, blah,blah,blah. I also have two lovely daughters and the beautiful little granddaughter, Kitty Rose, with whom I talk about Nature and show her the beauty around us. I am polite and respectful of others, which is in my nature. After reading your very meaningful post I feel sad and my heart and stomach are twisting up with an unidentified emotion – I think it’s because I just don’t know how to hang on tight any more in a world of hate, war, jealousy, poverty, cruelty to animals and each other. It can be so lonely on our path, Colette. Blessings and love to you in this changing world x
