Here currants are just getting ready to harvest fruits but I have sampled my elderberry sparkling wine today 🙂 I’m in a year 3 of fighting infertile sand soil but slowly and surely getting there .. Athens? That’s a long way from Surrey? The Celts imported wine from the Mediterranean area long ago…my foremothers would have quaffed many a Greek vino I suspect!

I have never made wine, but I do make jelly from the wild grapes (muscadines) here.
