  1. Beautiful words, Colette.

Samhain is my favourite time of year – which here, is April.
I relish the darkening days inviting introspection, and the chilling air as the land draws a richly woven blanket in rusted hues over her lap.
And, those who dwell on the misty periphery, edge closer into view.

  2. This has become my evening treat. Sitting here with a glass of wine tonight. How wonderful to see Brian Friel’s coffin is made of willow. Plain, simple and natural, it will leave no horrible chemicals in the Earth. My mother bought hers about six or seven years ago – to be ahead of the posse! She is a bit of a trend setter. All we have to do when she passes is over is buy a lovely pure cotton sheet to wrap her in. It is good to plan for these occasions because she is not frightened to go and that sets a great example for us. As you said, there is life in death.

  3. The podcast is a wonderful idea. I feel just like you are sitting with me here in my dining room, just chatting.
