It Still Takes My Breath Away!

dsc04149Each morning I arise and embark on a series of rituals, that culminate with a hot cup of tea in one hand, my camera in the other and faithful Jack by my side.

dsc04146It is then that I step out…

dsc04145This has been my ritual, though not always with Jack, for the past twelve years.

dsc04147And so it continues…

dsc04133What has manifested here on this little piece of sacred Earth still takes my breath away!

dsc04134I touch base with it as many times a day as I can!

dsc04132I take thousands of photographs every year, for the sheer beauty of what Mother Earth can do on three acres of “poor land,” is beyond incredible!

dsc04126And this has manifested in one of the last remaining countries on Earth that continues to refer to itself as “Mother.”

dsc04125“Mother Ireland”

dsc04124The Great Mother, Mother Earth, Goddess, Creatrix!

dsc04089The Celts were one of the last remaining tribes of the Goddess…in that they recognised the spirit of the Earth as female.

dsc04118There lies a message in that…

dsc04115I believe it to be simply this…”I am alive and filled with joy and waiting…”

Those who answer her call become immersed in joy and surrounded with beauty…and so it is.

It still takes my breath away!

  1. Dear Colette, today I am at the ocean, many miles from home. Over the weekend many friends came together to honor a dear one who passed over last year. As I walk along the shore, sun and salty sea breezes caress and swirl around me ,I am ever greatful for the constant reminder of the consoling beauty of nature. Thank you to you as you bring the same to me with your outlook on life and living, all your amazing photos, the life you share with us all!

  2. Looking at your Cavelo Nero dotted hither & dither, so cool and doing fantastically well for you. Blessings, Janet.

  3. The wonder of it is awesome to behold and astonishingly fresh and new every moment with every new photo. How blessed you are. And what a blessing you are for the land. You should be appointed as Ireland’s national earth steward. If only you could convince all your neighbors to dedicate even just a quarter of their land to naturalized woodland. That would be the start of a great movement to re-naturalize Ireland’s once great woodlands and forests.

    • Oh Lynne…now there’s a thing! I ask this Sacred land each and every day to help me restore Her and I have great faith in her wisdom…there is a plan somewhere, I just know! Thank you for your wonderful support…Blessings to you! I have kept a candle lit all day long for that special someone we pray for. XXX Colette

  4. My breath is also taken away and I’m so grateful for that…….Mother Earth is abundant with beauty <3

  5. Love the words you write and the paradise you wrought. If were possible, would sign up for your permaculture class, yesterday. Could you film the entirety for the week for us to purchase? <3
