Permaculture Cottage…the Acres of the PermaGoddess

1

Three acres of Permaculture and seven years of growing from scratch…monoculture emptiness.

A journey via Permaculture that has led me to give up smoking, become a Vegetarian and evolve into a Vegan.

Happy to be an Economic Terrorist…I rarely shop, so that makes me an enemy of the Corporate State…and anyone who wants to rant about me being a Conspiracy Theorist…well, I live in the real world and watched as Ireland was handed over to the Corporations, mostly banks, bankers and greed-mongers…if this resonates with you then be prepared to be dismissed as a C.T.!

You can’t buy anything on this site…everything I advocate comes for free and I’m happy to welcome visitors to this Permaculture Smallholding and show them around, even send them off with free plants and advice on how to do permaculture.

A willow arbour. Free. No Garden centre involved here! No money, just the abundance and love and goodness that is Nature…beyond money and the Merchants of Greed!

And places to sit made from upcycled castaway wood and concrete blocks…free!

Hens at Bealtaine today…Battery eggs are degraded food…the corporations will degrade you because you are little more to them than battery hens!

The Permaculture Polytunnel this morning. Spilling over with food and seeds…Seeds are the bankable currency of the VERY near future! Why do think the US government shares the control of GM seeds with that Monster Monsanto?

Nature is perfect…so why does all the corps., want to control and degrade her?

Destroying Self-Sufficiency is ALL About CONTROL…Thoughts from a Permaculture Cottage

The Lower pond at Bealtaine this morning.

As I walked around the smallholding I thought about what it is we do to be self-sufficient and ultimately free from tyranny!

Yes…tyranny, because that’s what being at the mercy of the market and banks and importers of food is all about…tyranny!

The world today is governed by commerce, that means banks and business.

These institutions want us to be consumers.

Nothing else!

Just consumers!

In order to be a good consumer it is necessary to have money.

This paper trail enslaves us all.

That is why ‘bartering,’ is referred to as the ‘black market economy.’

Self-sufficiency is about providing as much as one can for oneself, family and wider community.

Is it any wonder that this is not taught in schools?

But then, the ‘make do and mend,’ philosophy does little to support any of the above…

I am not a good citizen.

I did not buy this flowering perennial, the Euphorbia above.

I got a cutting from a friend and propagated it, planted it, allowed it to spread and continued to give this plant forward to other people.

That makes me an economic terrorist.

Yet this is my philosophy for life.

To share.

I am not part of any religion.

Sharing is a human thing to do.

This is a pumpkin grown from a seed saved in Canada, planted yesterday in the tunnel.

I have grown dozens of plants this year  and given most away…because I could and I wanted to.

Growing seeds is an amazing experience as all tenders of Gaia know.

Sharing is liberating.

Why shop when you can share?

Oh dear, am I talking revolution again?

Ha! Ha!

Sharing is a human trait, beaten out of us in this competitive world we are submerged in…

Maybe it’s time to have a major rethink on that, for hard times are here…

Willi Paul from Planetshifter Magazine in America asked me yesterday how I was doing…and I told him…that this year at Bealtaine Cottage Smallholding was on course to be the bumper harvest of all time!

This is the seventh year of permaculture here on the land and the magic of Nature continues unabated. Blossom, the promise of fruit and food, is in abundance this morning!

The Redcurrants are coming…

. What is happening on this earth is crucial to our survival…we need good food, clean water, clean air and a deeper understanding of our Mother Earth. So many writers are beginning to articulate these needs and provide guides for us to be able to start engaging… Bealtaine is here for all to see and gain from. It is not about ME, no pics of ME…it is about the possible overcoming the improbable, about hope and living a better life WITH this struggling planet.

What will be…heavy droplets of blossom promise heavy bunches of redcurrants, for free!

Flowers on one of the plum trees this morning…there is nothing more delicious to eat when feshly harvested from your own trees. These should be planted in every town and village in Ireland, for all to eat and enjoy!

And cherries…lots and lots of sweet cherries…councils should be urged to plant fruit trees in public spaces…why on EARTH not?

Blossom is beautiful, it lifts the spirit and feeds the soul. The fruit that follows feeds all, including the birds. Perfect!
