Photographs and Text from my patrons…

Saw this poignant little image on my walk this morning. A once great tree sadly felled some time ago (stump must be at least 5 feet across and cut years ago). But out of that carnage an intrepid new life now springs. I can’t help but think Mother Earth sending a small sign of light in what feels like dark times – life springs again from carnage as the wheel turns.

Feels like -8C this morning and at first I didn’t see them as I prepared my tea at the kitchen sink as they are blending into the grayness. My fluffed up morning doves staring at me wondering when I’ll get around to tossing more seed.

Beautiful birds! Florida USA is starting to see the migrating birds 🐦 from up North. The weather here is very pleasant here in December! 🎄

Sandhill Cranes are looking for Sunflower seeds in my garden. It’s illegal to feed them here in Florida, USA.

  1. Dearest Collette I so appreciate you ❤️ and I greatly enjoyed this story of your Grandmothers your ancestors and their journeys
I can see where your determinationand the determination line of women in your Family 💕 so interesting 🧐we must not forget where we come from! My ancestors came from Galway in Ireland my Great great Grandmother Maryann Paterson who married into the Kearney family they immigrated to Nova Scotia and then to America 🇺🇸 all of this history is who I am where I come from the beautiful old country 💓 Ireland maybe some day I get to see Beautiful Ireland!

  3. Well here it is the 3rd…and your story enchanted me as I put finishing touches on holiday decorations. It was reminding me of my Welsh granny Flossie, and the enchanted stories she would tell about her Granny and how those stories did indeed form who Iam now at 80. We have a lot of similarities and you have ignited a spark.
    and looking forward to more,
    With Blessings,
    Birdie
