International Goddess Day

International Goddess Day
Celebrating a day dedicated to the Divine Feminine this 13th day of November.
I will be celebrating the Sovereign Goddess Ériu.
Ireland is named after the goddess Ériu, who, along with her sisters Banba and Fódla, was one of the goddesses who met the invading Milesians. Ériu asked for the island to be named after her, a request that was granted, leading to the modern name Éire (Ireland). She was a sovereignty goddess who symbolized the land itself.

  1. The first goddess is also the Aquarius goddess, the bowl she is holding is overflowing with water. I was born under that sign and love the symbolism, the giver of water, co-creating with Gaia. But the water is from Gaia too!

  2. You always have the most interesting things to say. I have learned a lot from you.

  3. Do you know anything about the goddess Nerthus? I know she is a Norse goddess. I think she represents fertility, among other things. That’s all I know of her.

  4. How beautifully timely for me your post is, Colette! Yesterday, I was asked by the publisher to do final edits on my first book of poetry, What Does Anyone Know About Goddesses?. It’s a book that weaves poems about my late mother and the goddess Hestia. Adding to the serendipity, it was my mother who first told me about you and your enchanting videos about life at Bealtaine Cottage. I’m so excited about publication of the book, and I continue to be enchanted by your home, gardens, and woodland in lovely Ireland. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us! (My last poem in the book, which is woman-centric, is titled “We Are All Goddesses,” and indeed we are!) ❤️

  5. I will add this to my calendar. Love your cloak and your window photo, beautiful. We too will celebrate Ériu, my daughter is named Erin. 💚

  6. Ohhh i will join that celebration! I love all your videos and I am really enjoying your last ones with the druidess magical touch. I am looking forward to get your new books once they are printed
