Jack waits patiently for his walk as I take a rest from candle-making…the day is ripe for being outdoors…
There’s something quite delicious about sitting down with a cup of tea and putting one’s feet up…in this case on the coffee table.
The candle-making continues…tidying up to do, but not before a dozen or so big candles are made…
how do you make candles?
I use the paraffin wax pellets and make the standard mix, but I also use wax chunks from leftovers. Using a selection of 3 different size wicks and priming them as standard and relating to the size of the candle I am pouring. I am using just 2 moulds at the moment. It’s quite straightforward really! Basic candle-making skills can be learned in a day workshop and are not too complex really.
