As a Free Celtic Woman!

Sitting here on this beautiful Saturday morning in early July. The back door is open in an attempt to dissipate the heat of the morning. Ireland has been basking in a glorious summer and occasional heat wave from late April onwards.
It has just turned 9 am and the heat of the day is beginning to rise. On days such as these, Patsy loves to just sit and watch. She follows the movements of the birds and small mammals in the garden.
The summer heat is releasing the most evocative scent from the lilies.
I imagine that Patsy is enjoying the scent too.
You may wonder why this blog follows so close on the heels of the previous one? Well, I am aware at this point in time that big corporations are endeavouring to censor what we say on the Internet and have the power to pull down Facebook pages such as mine, if I step out of line!
What would distress me if this happened? Well, it would be the fact that my photographs and words are destroyed and my ability to speak freely in a democracy taken from me. So…
I have sought sanctuary once more in this self funded website that is not governed by any corporate entity! Not that I have anything censorious to say, but I will not be yoked to any corporate plough!
You see as an Irish woman and a free Celt, denial of my rights makes me angry!
To this end, I will post more regularly on this website of mine that is free to all and free from advertising! It has always been and remains my sanctuary as an artist. Yes, I am recognised as an artist by the Irish government through my published writing.
And so my friends, on this beautiful Saturday morning, I am delighted to leave you with these images and my blessings to you for a lovely weekend ahead.

  1. Hello from sunny, “at the moment” Ohio. I am always inspired by your place. I love the botanical gardens, but not the dress, right dress. Yours is natural. Thank you for always sharing.

  2. Beautiful to see how you capture Mother Nature, a deep feeling of calm as you captivate and celebrate your piece of heaven. Thank you

  3. Good morning to you Colette, I have followed you for 8 years now, during the years many changes have taken place on social media. I can’t see why your content on your YouTube channel would cause problems.I don’t use FB or other types of media sights so can’t really compare. We are free women with views and minds of our own. Stick to your truth.I am a celtic pagan. 💟

  4. I love your blog and writings…musings. And your photography is so beautiful. I watch most of your videos but don’t always comment because I suspect the YT chatter is monitored or deleted. But your blog is truly original – thank you!♥️🐇

  5. Yes, yes and yes. Few things rile up a Celtic woman than an unjust outfit demanding you do what they want. I am the same, also very Celtic. Foolish people riling up a force of nature…just watch me! I remember getting a detention at school because some teacher spotted orange undies under my skirt at our “ladies” college. I wore orange undies the next day and the next day! They gave up.

  6. Thank you so very much for the amazing photo’s of your beautiful gardens and home. Blessings.
