Thank you for your recipe. I only saw it once I had used the last of my blackcurrants making blackcurrant vinegar! So I used your recipe using 500g of the strained blackcurrants from the jelly bag, adjusting the measures. Fingers crossed it will be OK?. I was wondering how long your recipe keeps?
Yesterday I made your GG Gramma’s chutney recipe. I didn’t have black currants so I used red. I have to say that it is so delicious!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. God Bless
That sounds delicious and creative! The chutney is wonderful with cheese…though I now enjoy Vegan cheese.
Blackcurrant chutney. Can you confirm the onion measument of 1oz is correct. It’s such a tiny amount!
Yes it is the correct amount! The recipe has been on the site for seven years and many people have made it and confirmed its excellence.
Seasons greetings, and great appreciation for your posts, your photos and commentaries, and recipes are SO delightful. May 2016 bring all the finest of your heart’s desires. I still hope someday to visit your part of the Irish coast, and if so, I will be in touch for certain.
Warmest wishes, Linnet
