Just over ten years ago I bought a derelict cottage standing on three acres of wet, rush-infested, north-facing land.
This is how I transformed it, using only Permaculture and my own labour.
See for yourself and share the magic!
Year One…the pond and stream beds were dug and the water has flowed ever since!

It’s so beautiful what can be done when we put our minds and hands to it!
I have transformed a city lot where I share living quarters with a daughter type. Both front and back yards are now gardens for food, both human and animals. I want to thank M who I moved in with for changing her grass to gardens. What a trusting step that is for all of us who try to give back to Mother Earth. Love your blog.
Wonderful pictures, Colette! I’m attempting to do something similar on my currently bare 63’x63′ town lot in Lillooet, BC, Canada. I hope my effort shows such success in ten years’ time!!
Wow. I love “Before and After” pics and these are incredible! You must be so proud of your achievements – thanks for sharing them all and inspiring us!
