Trump and The Power of One

Primroses at the Spring Well in the Fairy Wood at Bealtaine Cottage Permaculture GardensAs many of you know, I am in the final stages of completing my first manuscript and so have been busy since early December in preparing this book for the printers in Dublin…no tax-dodging Amazon corporation for me!

That’s not how I roll!

The Spring Well in the Fairy Wood at Bealtaine CottageAs I began this final incubation, I  was reluctant to venture into the world of news, website or indeed have my attention diverted.

However, I may have reluctantly refrained from communication, but lots of you have remained in contact via email…please excuse the brief, if any, replies I have provided, but then you know how busy I have been.

April 2011 Bealtaine Cottage Laurel arch023The communications have come mainly from the U.S. and have been most concerning to read!

Fear appears to be the main thread linking what you have written to me.

Fear of the government; fear of the future; fear for the environment; fear for healthcare…housing…jobs…I could go on, but I think you get the drift.

March 2014I am not interested in politicians, nor do I have any respect for them or what they peddle, so there is no need for me to use the T word more than in the title of this blog, nor do I want a comment list oozing the “T” word…no thank you!

Suffice to say that the world of man is in turmoil and has been for a very long time! March 2014Have you not noticed the endless war on a noun?

Hatred and fear have been stacked against us all for a very long time!

willow Bealtaine Cottage March I googled the word “Fear” and it came up with 547 million results!

  1. 1. noun
an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm.
“I cowered in fear as bullets whizzed past”

verb

  1. 1.

be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or harmful.

“I hated him but didn’t fear him any more”

    synonyms:

    be afraid of, be fearful of, be scared of, be apprehensive of, dread, live in fear of, go in terror of, be terrified of, be terrified by, cower before, tremble before, cringe from, shrink from, flinch from;

Bealtaine Cottage permaculture March 2011 013For as long as power-seeking individuals have existed, their energy has fed of fear, each one of them a version of Nosferatu, be them less or more acceptable! Spring in Ireland at Bealtaine CottageWe must, each of us, decide how we come to terms, if any, with a most disagreeable and at times, painful system that appears to control our lives. Fear and loathing changes little.

Bealtaine Cottage permaculture march 2011 006“I don’t think that anything happens by coincidence… No one is here by accident… Everyone who crosses our path has a message for us. Otherwise they would have taken another path, or left earlier or later. The fact that these people are here means that they are here for some reason”…”
    James Redfield

Bealtaine Cottage Gardens in April 2011 001The wisdom in what James Redfield  had to say, translates to me in this way:

That there are some people whose worst actions can propel us towards our best…and some leaders who unite more than what they divide…in very strange and surprising ways!

Some of the greatest movements for change have emerged out of dark and menacing times!

Loss of Soul

dsc03788

We live in a society and where darkness pervades our souls.

We continually invent ways to avoid and escape the darkness…one of which is endless buying of consumer goods.

Within our society today there is an illness that pervades all classes and levels of wealth, known as “Soul Loss.”

dsc03789It sounds like “Soul Less,” and indeed many people comment on aspects of our society that are indeed soul-less!

dsc03790Television programmes are more and more appealing to a lower denominator within audiences, especially reality shows that can be likened to much of the entertainment provided for the masses, referred to as “the Plebs, (short for Plebians), in Ancient Rome.

dsc03791 Many of these programmes are nothing but a reflection of the very worst in society!

dsc03792Jung described the unhappiness referred to as loss of soul, a concept borrowed from anthropology, referring psychologically to a state of general malaise.

dsc03793Many feel in today’s world that there is something missing from their lives, a sort of glue that holds everything together!

dsc03795Insomnia, depression and escapism through drugs or alcohol are all signs of Soul Loss.

dsc03796One can feel vulnerable, fatigued or simply not worthy!

dsc03797All of us have experienced some of these symptoms at some point in our lives and often refer back to them as low points.

dsc03798And it’s true indeed, for the soul feels as if it is dragged down.

dsc03799Much of commercial society today uses images, music and indeed brain-attack, to subjugate our beings into enslavement to the corporate will.

dsc03800So how do we overcome this dark malaise?

dsc03801 Well, it is often written and spoken about here at Bealtaine Cottage…reconnect with Nature! dsc03802Taking one’s sadness, vulnerability, confusion, low self-esteem into the heart of Nature and communing with Mother Earth in all her wondrous life can be the best medicine…healing gently and cumulatively.

dsc03807Spend less time being undermined and insulted by media and more time recovering your soul.

Lunar Eclipse in Pisces Full Moon

full moon 21 oct 10 007I walked out tonight into the bright light of the full moon.

Harvest Moon in the West of Ireland, tonight! We have, over the past few days, experienced a wonderful full moon and lunar eclipse.

During this time we have been getting connected with our intuitive energies.

Bealtaine Cottage standing stone in permaculture gardensOur ability to connect the head with the heart.

Pisces is a very emotional and intuitive sign.

We need to get ready for some big shifts in our lives.

Bealtaine Cottage moon rising over the permaculture gardensProcessing painful memories can be very fruitful now.

This is a positive time for people in general.

It’s a good time to deal with issues and have an emotional clear out.

The Fairy Wood at Bealtaine CottageThe Lunar Eclipse was on the 16th of September and the vibrations from that continue to be felt.

This is a cycle of completion and closure…an opportunity to move on!

Celtic Triad BroochThis full moon is also about release.

Eclipses are often linked to accelerated development.

Angel at Bealtaine CottageFull moons illuminate, so you have experienced memories from the past that have emotional resonances.

This has certainly been true for me.

The experience can be intense indeed.

bealtainecottage.com 007Time to move forward!

In The End…

DSC02270I know I should not have gone out today!

DSC02269I know in retrospect, on reflection, it was a mistake…

DSC02199I had already heard something on the morning news, a tail-end of some report…something about an animal being killed, and I thought, Oh gosh, here we go again!

DSC02200Anyway, what happened was  I decided to go into town, taking one of my grandsons into Sligo. DSC02202Later on, I was waiting around for him to meet me at the car, when I decided to go into the Newsagent and see if I could get hold of one of the broadsheets for a good read!

DSC02203What a mistake…the papers were mostly head-lined with the news of the killing and other dreadful stuff.

DSC02204I could hardly avoid the image…on one particular paper there was this image on the front cover of this beautiful Bear…this beautiful, beautiful Bear, dying, impaled on a spear.

DSC02206The horror that was man, hovering over the magnificent creature, like some dreadful Nosferatu…gloating, menacing, triumphant!

Not a sight that anyone wants to have inflicted upon their vision!

Very disturbing!

DSC02207As I write this, the Bear is dead.

DSC02208The beautiful soul of that incredibly extraordinary creature has passed into the heart of the Great Mother, the Universal Consciousness…Mother Earth.

DSC02211The man…that dreadfully twisted, sickening human being who destroyed that incredible life, lives on…

DSC02212And as I look around my gardens and walk among the trees, with Jack, I’m reminded of the importance of love in this world.

DSC02213The longer I am here at Bealtaine…and this is the longest I have ever lived in one place…

…the more I realise that what Mother Earth is crying out for, to all her sentient beings, but especially to us, for it has taken such a very long time for Her to evolve us…

DSC02215A species that has the right and the left brain thinking… though invariably we invoke the left brain… DSC02217…but we have the right brain, we have the capacity for compassion and love…

DSC02218And at this point in time, Mother Earth needs us to bring into conscientiousness our right brains! DSC02219For we need to express love and understanding and compassion and beauty and creation… and all those deep qualities that link us to the Divine.

DSC02221That’s all I have to say…that’s my prayer, my daily prayer!

DSC02222Christopher Hitchens was right… “In the end there is only love…”

DSC02223This is what I show and remind my grandchildren.

This is what I try to live…a life of love.

DSC02225My love is there for Mother Earth and all her sentient beings…

But, especially, especially the ones that cannot talk.

We are duty-bound to speak for them.

Not Drowning, but Waving!

DSC01749It was some time coming…but those of you who have followed the Bealtaine Cottage Magical Gardens site on Facebook are aware of the proliferation of material I posted on there.

DSC01748I was so passionate about spreading a message of optimism and love for Mother Earth, that I ended up with little or no time for the work I need to do here at Bealtaine Cottage!

DSC01747I write and photograph for two blogs, upload to FB and Twitter, make a video and upload that as often as possible…the most recent one was almost an hour long!

DSC01746I haven’t been able to find time for Soundcloud, and, as for enjoying the occasional day out or weekend away…not possible with such a busy schedule.

DSC01745Something had to give!

DSC01754So I decided to take a break from FaceBook and Twitter and have left a small statement on both sites informing my followers.

DSC01735My page on FB quickly built up to almost 14,000 Likes, so I do feel a sense of abandoning so many good people, but do hope that they remember where I am and that I have not gone away!

DSC01750Yesterday and this morning, following my decision, I have felt a lovely calm descend here…a sort of ability to breath deeper and exhale longer!

DSC01755The story of Bealtaine Cottage began 12 years ago.

DSC01756No-one in this part of Ireland was much interested in what I was trying to do…so I began writing and blogging about the generosity and energy of Mother Earth, in fact I felt compelled to do so.

DSC01757“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.”

Anne Lamott

DSC01758So, life at Bealtaine has come back in a circle, as I find myself happily snapping pics., eager to share them with all of you through this website.

DSC01752“I remember feeling that pieces of me were scattered around the world; I belonged to her, Mother Earth.”
Raquel Cepeda

DSC01762DSC01760I know that the best way I can be of service in these troubled times is to share Bealtaine Cottage with those who seek to reconnect with Mother Earth and develop a deeper understanding of the real world…not the one hurled at us by the mainstream media.

DSC01759“The human body resonates at the same frequency as Mother Earth. So instead of only focusing on trying to save the earth, which operates in congruence to our vibrations, I think it is more important to be one with each other. If you really want to remedy the earth, we have to mend mankind. And to unite mankind, we heal the Earth. That is the only way. Mother Earth will exist with or without us. Yet if she is sick, it is because mankind is sick and separated. And if our vibrations are bad, she reacts to it, as do all living creatures.”

Homelessness and Vulture Capitalism

DSC01744Why has the government of allowed Funds to cash-buy over 60% of when we have a ?

A simple question.

A simple tweet, made this morning, as I pondered what government is actually for…

DSC01723It concerns me deeply to imagine the almost two thousand  children who are awakening this morning in their homeless temporary accommodation…mostly Bed and Breakfast only hotels!

DSC01743I live in a comfortable little cottage, but grew up in circumstances not dissimilar to the homeless children of Ireland today, in that I was a child of an economically disadvantaged family.

1624264_577952575629990_150204437_nThis is what economic inequality looked like in Ireland 53 yrs ago…that’s me on the left.

Eleven children living in a two bed-roomed terraced house.

mum-0071Yet over half a century ago, despite the cramped conditions, we had a house we called home!

My mother lived a long healthy life despite birthing eleven children…here she was in her eightieth year at Bealtaine Cottage.

DSC01742There should not be a homeless crisis here in Ireland…or anywhere for that matter!

DSC01741There were 5,811 people ‘officially homeless’ in emergency homeless accommodation in February 2016 – an increase of 48% over the previous February. This figure includes adults (3,930) and children with their families (1,881), but it does not include the ‘hidden homeless’ who are living in squats or ‘sofa surfing’ with friends or people who are living in domestic violence refuges.

DSC01739If every country in the western world can find endless money for war and bankers…need I say more?

DSC01738The Irish Government should be particularly ashamed this morning in the wake of yesterdays revelations that over sixty per cent of all houses sold last year in Ireland were to cash buyers…most of whom commanded the wealth of so-called Vulture Funds!

vulture fund
noun

FINANCE
plural noun: vulture funds
  1. a fund which invests in companies or properties which are performing poorly and may therefore be undervalued.
DSC01729In this so-called republic, for any child to go to bed hungry or awaken in cramped squalor is an utter disgrace.
    Shame on us all!

Evolve or Revolve…It’s Time to Choose

10309565_681785048526144_1481735103339266863_n

I don’t know about you, but for the past decade or so I have felt a powerful force at work all round me.

DSC01063I have seen it too!

DSC01064It is a Universal force of such incredible energy that at times, I feel overwhelmed by it.

DSC01065This force has made governments tremble and grown men cry.

DSC01067It is unstoppable, all-consuming and, at times, can appear very frightening indeed.

DSC01066Mankind has tried to tame it, harness it, even destroy it.

DSC01068All to no avail.

DSC01069She abides… Have you heard her call?

DSC01070Are you listening?

DSC01071Her name is Earth.

DSC01072She is our Mother, our home, our future.

DSC01073Humankind’s greatest priority is to reintegrate with the natural world. ~ Jonathon Porritt

DSC01074If we are to use our tools in the service of fitting in on Earth, our basic relationship to nature–even the story we tell ourselves about who we are in the universe–has to change. ~ Janine M. Benyus

DSC01077Our little Spaceship Earth is only eight thousand miles in diameter, which is almost a negligible dimension in the great vastness of space.  ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

DSC01075DSC01076DSC01078DSC01079DSC01080The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction. ~  Rachel Carson

DSC01081DSC01082DSC01083DSC01084The world of life, of spontaneity, the world of dawn and sunset and starlight, the world of soil and sunshine, of meadow and woodland, of hickory and oak and maple and hemlock and pineland forests, of wildlife dwelling around us, of the river and its wellbeing–all of this [is] the integral community in which we live. ~ Thomas Berry

DSC01085DSC01086We can do nothing and keep revolving, remaining perfect fodder for governments, corporations and empires, or…

DSC01087DSC01088DSC01090DSC01091 we can connect with Her and begin to evolve into what we are meant to be…part of Her.

The Greatest Peace Initiative of Our Time

DSC00242This notion that man can, and should, have absolute dominion over the “chaotic” powers of nature and woman…is what ultimately lies behind man’s famous “conquest of nature” – a conquest that is today puncturing holes in the earth’s ozone layer, destroying our forests, polluting our air and water, and increasingly threatening the welfare, and even survival, of thousands of living species, including our own.

Riane Eisler
DSC00171DSC00172
I was aware from an early age, through extensive reading and observation, that women have long been associated with Nature.
DSC00173Even the metaphor we use for our planet, ‘Mother Earth’, for instance…our nurturing Earth!
DSC00174
The language we have become over familiar with says it all.. a ‘virgin’ forest is one awaiting exploitation, as yet untouched by man.
DSC00176I have lived through the greatest exploitation and destruction of ‘virgin forests’, ever seen.
DSC00175It is something I would love to be able to wish away and part of the reason I have grown and planted over one thousand trees to co-create Bealtaine Cottage, with, Mother Earth.
DSC00177
Working with the land, in much of the world, is women’s work.
DSC00178Apart from the violence of war and the destruction of the planet, women have been associated with the physical side of life.
DSC00182Even in biblical terms, women are ‘closer to nature’, and so to be kept controlled.
There is a real fear of Nature and all that She imbibes.
DSC00181
Of course, when one takes a long look at how mankind has viewed Nature down through the past several thousand years, it becomes apparent that fear is the driving force.
DSC00185Nature is more powerful than human life.
DSC00186The control over Nature allows a fleeting feeling of control and empowerment…but, never for long, as we all know.
DSC00188So, in my own small way, recognising these truths, I embarked on a journey of making peace…with Her.
DSC00190The ultimate and final Peace Initiative.
DSC00192I come from one of the most devastated towns in Northern Ireland…Omagh.
DSC00193A town that endured such violence and suffering in the worst bombing witnessed on a quiet day in August of 1998.
DSC00198DSC00199DSC00200I mention this as it helps to contextualize my own life and motives for what I do…a complex study in itself!
DSC00202The only end to violence comes when people make peace with each other, or a situation.
DSC00205DSC00206DSC00207Peace and happiness is never birthed from subjugation and control.
DSC00208As a society that has both witnessed and endured these past two world wars, we should be in full receipt of that information!
DSC00213For twelve years now I have striven to make peace with Mother Earth. DSC00215The results are here for all to see.
DSC00216She is not to be feared.
DSC00222DSC00221She is not to be controlled.
(Can you see the little bird in flight from the box?)
DSC00217She is who we live WITH!
DSC00218I learned, to my shock, the other day, that Ireland relied heavily on the importation of Chemical Fertilizer from America during the years of World war Two!
DSC00219That was over sixty years ago, so one must assume that grass has only grown green from chemicals ever since!
DSC00220One must further conclude that alongside this continued abomination has come the loss of topsoil, for one goes hand-in-hand with the other!
DSC00223The ultimate Peace Initiative is working with Mother Earth to create topsoil, as evidenced here.
DSC00224Peace is to be nurtured and worked through.
DSC00237Peace comes with levels of compromise and sacrifice.
DSC00238Peace in our own life comes with persistence and negotiation and keeping the vision with us.
DSC00231Peace comes from the refusal to abuse, the refusal to not live ON Her, but WITH Her!
DSC00236The greatest war of all time is being fought in every garden, allotment, field, woodland, forest, river, ocean and all that makes up Mother Earth.
DSC00226
The future of our children’s children lies within the reflection of our love for Mother Earth today.
We either make peace with Her or forfeit the lives of those whose faces we will never see!

A Feast of Autumn

bealtainecottage.com 006

Autumn in the permaculture gardens continues in a glow.

It’s near mid October…my favourite month, my birthday month!

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

bealtainecottage.com 007

Stoves are keeping the cottage and the lodge warm and snug.

The nip in the morning and evening air is quite tangible.

bealtainecottage.com 008

In the scheme of things, Autumn is an exuberant finale to the year, filled with colour and joy, mindful of all that’s passed and all left to come, as the descent towards midwinter moves ceaselessly on.

“GATHERING LEAVES
Spades take up leaves
No better than spoons,
And bags full of leaves
Are light as balloons.
I make a great noise
Of rustling all day
Like rabbit and deer
Running away.
But the mountains I raise
Elude my embrace,
Flowing over my arms
And into my face.
I may load and unload
Again and again
Till I fill the whole shed,
And what have I then?
Next to nothing for weight,
And since they grew duller
From contact with earth,
Next to nothing for color.
Next to nothing for use.
But a crop is a crop,
And who’s to say where
The harvest shall stop?”
Robert Frost

Salix Contorta and Honesty catch the morning sun.

bealtainecottage.com 023

“I saw old Autumn in the misty morn
Stand shadowless like silence, listening
To silence, for no lonely bird would sing
Into his hollow ear from woods forlorn,
Nor lowly hedge nor solitary thorn; —
Shaking his languid locks all dewy bright
With tangled gossamer that fell by night,
Pearling his coronet of golden corn.”
Thomas Hood

bealtainecottage.com 026

“Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love – that makes life and nature harmonise. The birds are consulting about their migrations, the trees are putting on the hectic or the pallid hues of decay, and begin to strew the ground, that one’s very footsteps may not disturb the repose of earth and air, while they give us a scent that is a perfect anodyne to the restless spirit. Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”

[Letter to Miss Eliot, Oct. 1, 1841]”
George Eliot

“And I rose
In rainy autumn
And walked abroad in a shower of all my days…”
Dylan Thomas, Collected Poems

“I ate breakfast in the kitchen by candle-light, and then drove the five miles to the station through the most glorious October colouring. The sun came up on the way, and the swamp maples and dogwood glowed crimson and orange and the stone walls and cornfields sparkled with hoar frost; the air was keen and clear and full of promise. I knew something was going to happen. ”
Jean Webster, Daddy-Long-Legs

bealtainecottage.com 036

“Autumn that year painted the countryside in vivid shades of scarlet, saffron and russet, and the days were clear and crisp under harvest skies.”
Sharon Kay Penman, Time and Chance

bealtainecottage.com 033

“There was a filmy veil of soft dull mist obscuring, but not hiding, all objects, giving them a lilac hue, for the sun had not yet fully set; a robin was singing … The leaves were more gorgeous than ever; the first touch of frost would lay them all low to the ground. Already one or two kept constantly floating down, amber and golden in the low slanting sun-rays.”

Economy? The Future is Local…the Illusion of Growth

Vintage Chest 016

I keep hens.

These hens feed into my local economy in small, positive ways.

However, these beautiful creatures are not part of Ireland’s economy, despite their consistent hard work!

Vintage Chest 001

Economic growth is all about measuring the flow of money.

Surplus eggs at Bealtaine Cottage are bartered for other goods.

The details of that growth are almost irrelevant.

Yet, every day, the news is filled with details about the economy, difficult to relate to any aspect of our daily lives.

Vintage Chest 002

There is not one aspect of what I do here at Bealtaine Cottage which would be deemed to contribute to economic growth. Sewing, spinning, planting trees, growing food, supporting wildlife, caring…

Vintage Chest 010

Planting trees?

Only measured on the day of cutting and selling!

Vintage Chest 013

Ensuring the land is brought back to fertility…not measured.

If it cannot be measured in  the transfer of money, then it is not counted.

If you produce what you consume, then, apparently, you do not produce…the real economy of people like me is zero.

Vintage Chest 017

However, the future is local in terms of the real economy, because the real economy is about real people and the real lives they lead!

Vintage Chest 018

I believe that in order to stabilize the world, we must first stabilize our country and in order to do that, we must ensure our homes and communities are efficient and resilient.

The future can only be welcomed if our present is secure.

Vintage Chest 020

We are of real flesh and blood; real feelings: compassion and hope; real lives, not economic statistics on the six o’clock news.

Vintage Chest 019

The future is local, resources are plentiful; the future is us…just us and justice!

Having the stove fired up for cooking the soup and baking, means drying clothes in a very natural and cost-free way.

Cleaned out the hen house and run…now there’s lots of poopy straw to spread on the vegetable beds before I mulch them with cardboard…great, organic and free vegetables for next year!

The girls are happy! This deep litter allows a good amount of fertile straw to be used in the vegetable gardens and as a fertile mulch…for free…eggs are a sideline!

Cleared the space beneath this Ash tree to make a little sitting and meditation space.

Made a green juice to start the day, using Apples, Lemon Balm, Mint,  Kale and Wheatgrass from the garden. Now that’s what fired me up for a day of sustainable living!

While Rome Burns…

There are no solutions to the instability in the world that I care to offer, as my voice is irrelevant in the scheme of things that cause mayhem and war.

I can only offer advice on what works for me…on what keeps me sane in a world filled with lunacy!

Keep grounded!

bealtainecottage.com 007

Do what you have to do and do it well!

bealtainecottage.com 001

Look ahead into the seasons and make plans for planting, working, visiting and caring for the world around you.

bealtainecottage.cottage.com 006

Think about ways in which you can heal the world around you, be positive and nurture.

bealtainecottage.com 023

Don’t allow the mayhem to grind you down…life went on after the Fall of Rome, as well we know!

bealtainecottage.com 005

Remember, even as war, austerity and breakdown of society is happening right now in countries around the globe, people continue to look after their children, grow food, make food, wash clothes and generally get on with life as best they can.

For all the negative and dreadful news we are battered with on a daily basis, remember there are real people around you doing good things!

The mainstream media rarely reports on good people.

The next time you share a conversation with someone, compliment them on a little thing to lift their spirits, for it will be paid forward, it will!

I can say, with absolute certainty,  there are many more good people on this Earth than bad…and sometimes, those we perceive to be bad are just hurting.

The world is as beautiful, peaceful and abundant as each of us are prepared to make it!

A Simple Life

bealtainecottage.com 011

“A simple life is not seeing how little we can get by with—that’s poverty—but how efficiently we can put first things first. . . . When you’re clear about your purpose and your priorities, you can painlessly discard whatever does not support these, whether it’s clutter in your cabinets or commitments on your calendar.”

Victoria Moran

Frugality is one of the most beautiful and joyful words in the English language, and yet one that we are culturally cut off from understanding and enjoying. The consumption society has made us feel that happiness lies in having things, and has failed to teach us the happiness of not having things. ~Elise Boulding

Yesterday, I found myself with two juicers.

Through fortune and kindness, my life had become too full, and so I gave one away, to a friend who needs to take good care of her health.

She was delighted and my cupboard was, once more, roomy and ready to receive.

To live in a state of abundance, it is necessary to practice frugality.

One cannot work without the other.

Abundance needs space to grow!

Clinging onto what one does not need creates clutter, confusion and chaos.

Is it any wonder the world is in such a state?

We don’t need to increase our goods nearly as much as we need to scale down our wants. Not wanting something is as good as possessing it. ~Donald Horban

The sculptor produces the beautiful statue by chipping away such parts of the marble block as are not needed — it is a process of elimination. ~Elbert Hubbard

I have two websites… Bealtaine Cottage and Bealtaine Cottage Good Life.

This site, Bealtaine Cottage, is free and has over 850 blogs, as well as over 3,500 photographs.

Bealtaine Cottage Good Life costs 12 euros per year and allows me a small income, to keep doing what I love doing most…writing about Mother Earth and photographing her.

Making this small donation adds your name to the subscriber list.

You will then have access to the website and full blog as published twice each week.

This amounts to 104 publications per year, at a cost of 12 cents each!
